City Forest

City-Forest is a spatial installation that interprets Zagreb as a model of an emotional landscape composed of personal landmarks, hidden corners and everyday experiences. The stylised painted forms represent the artist’s perception of the city's real elements. The work is divided into three theme sections that reflect her experience of Maksimir, Medvednica and the people of Zagreb. The objects also have a functional dimension: visitors can rest on them, move around them, play, or hide among them, while selected elements incorporate living plants. Alongside a personal interpretation of Zagreb, City-Forest explores the possibilities of urban furniture design at the crossroads of playfulness, functionality and ornamentation.
