Urban Jellyfish

Urban Jellyfish is an installation with which the artist displaces jellyfish from their natural habitat into urban landscape and assigns them the role of urban elements’ décor. With her choice of form, materials and colours she draws our attention to their specificity and adaptability: they have inhabited world seas for over half a billion years, they are able to clone themselves and glow in the dark, their entire bodies breathe, they never separate from their colonies, they are 95 per cent composed of water and some species are even immortal. Due to global warming, the jellyfish might truly reign over warm oceans.
