Highwire Artist

Highwire Artist is inspired by the documentary film of the same name, which portrays the incredible endeavour of the French acrobat Philippe Petit. In 1974, Petit walked on a wire strung between the two World Trade Center towers in New York City – the legendary Twin Towers. This unbelievable act of bravery and dedication deeply inspired and motivated the making of this work. Its message – that anything is possible if one really wants it – is the core of the idea the artist wanted to convey. The work is dedicated to Philippe Petit and all the brave, daring individuals who shift the boundaries of the possible.
