Then and Now

Then and Now is the name of a interactive photographic installation that takes you on an interesting artistic journey through the history of the city. Through the lens of Tošo Dabac, one of most significant Croatian photographers, we go back in decades, to the time when some of his most famous photographs were taken. Selected photographs are placed in a camera made according to the principle of a camera obscure through which one can view scenes of the city from the 1950sor 60s. The cameras are placed exactly in the places where some of Dabac's most famous photographs were taken, inviting passers-by to peek into the past and discover what the city used to look like.
